Hello World!

Dreams really do come true

I know it has been a while….6 weeks (not counting the 9/11 post) to be exact.

I have been very busy with life in China. It has been no-stop since I got here on August 25th.

In a very brief run down while on a brief slow down (with an internet connection) here is a summary of things:

August 25-Sept 4 Shenzhen with friends. Love this city and plan on living here some day soon. Shopping, shopping and more shopping. Went to the beach and began to get my feet wet in life in China. Also visited Hong Kong for a day. Not that impressed with it but i am glad i went.

Sept 4-5 23 Hour train ride to Kaifeng

Sept 5 – Oct 1 Kaifeng (much happened will give details later)
attend class, make new friends, catch up with the old friends, residency permit and health check, english corner and strange looks.

Oct National day holiday – Me, my roomate (and classmate in Akron), and our new Russian partner in crime take vacation in southern china…

Oct 1-2 17 hour train to Guangzhou
Oct 2 Spend all day in Guangzhou and love this city! will definately return when i have more time.. (more details later)

Oct 2nd (very very late) take bullet train to Shenzhen (yea!) and arrive at awesome hotel.

10.3- visit splendid china,, shopping
10.4- i stay in city and the girls go to hong kong
10.5- i stay local, girls to folk china and splendid china
10.6- disney hong kong!
10.7- i stay local, girls to maccao
10.8&9 – 23 hours back to Kaifeng

I stayed put alot of the times because my knee injury from last years trip to kaifeng has been aggrevated from all of the stairs i have to climb on a daily basis (i live on 4th floor and my class is on the 6th floor with no elevator) so i am unable to do large amounts of walking for any length of time and saved most of my energy for Disney. I filled my days with amazing massages, hair cuts, light shopping and relaxing in our awesome hotel (more to come)

so i will leave you with this picture that says it all…
